This CNC vertical turning lathe features a heavy-duty cast machine bed, high-precision linear guideways, a high-power drive system, and a multi-station CNC turret. Its vertical clamping design improves workpiece stability, making the machine suitable for roughing, semi-finishing, and finishing of large-diameter components, including flanges, brake discs, wheel hubs, bearing housings, construction machinery parts, and pressure vessel heads.

Characteristics of CNC Vertical Lathes

The CNC Vertical Turning Turret Lathe features an integrated bed and column structure cast using high-strength resin sand molding technology. It undergoes thorough stress-relief aging treatment to reduce internal casting stresses, ensuring long-term dimensional stability and resistance to deformation.

The X-axis is equipped with two 45 mm-wide linear guideways, while the Z-axis uses two 55 mm-wide heavy-duty linear guideways, providing high load capacity and low friction. Compared with traditional box ways, these linear guideways offer higher feed speeds, faster dynamic response, uniform lubrication, and easier maintenance, ensuring stable performance from heavy-duty rough turning to precision finishing operations.

Flexible turret configurations are available with 4-station or 8-station options. The turret provides accurate positioning and high rigidity, allowing multiple tools to be installed simultaneously, including external turning, internal boring, facing, and grooving tools. Multiple turning operations, such as external/internal turning, facing, chamfering, and grooving, can be completed in a single setup, reducing positioning errors caused by repeated clamping.

A high-power 22 kW spindle drive system provides strong cutting capability for heavy-duty rough turning of materials such as cast iron, carbon steel, and alloy steel. With high torque output and stable operation, the spindle supports both high material removal rates and precision finishing requirements.

A standard 21-inch hydraulic chuck provides adjustable and stable clamping force. The vertical structure makes loading and unloading heavy disc-shaped workpieces easier and reduces the risk of deflection and deformation commonly associated with large-diameter parts processed on horizontal lathes. It also supports automated clamping solutions for improved production efficiency.

The high-flow coolant system effectively flushes the cutting area, removing heat and reducing thermal effects during machining. It also helps clear chips from the work zone, preventing surface damage and contributing to longer tool life and improved machining quality.

The CNC Vertical Turning Turret Lathe layout provides convenient access for workpiece loading, unloading, and tool changes. Maintenance areas for guideways, ball screws, cooling systems, and hydraulic systems are easily accessible. Routine operations such as lubrication, chip removal, and troubleshooting are simplified, helping reduce operating and maintenance costs. A fully enclosed protective structure prevents coolant splashing and chip scattering, creating a cleaner and safer working environment.
