Machining Capacity
The machine features an X-axis travel of 580 mm and a Z-axis travel of 800 mm, with a maximum turning diameter of Φ1000 mm and a maximum machining height of 800 mm. It is capable of machining workpieces such as flanges, wind turbine hubs, and large valve discs with diameters of up to 1 meter and heights of up to 0.8 meters. The machine is equipped with a 24-inch hydraulic chuck that delivers stable and uniform clamping force, preventing slippage or movement during the machining of heavy workpieces. This design makes it suitable for securely clamping a wide range of large-diameter disc-type blanks.
Spindle Power and Speed Range
The machine is equipped with a high-output 22 kW spindle motor and offers an adjustable speed range of 100–800 rpm, making it suitable for both low-speed heavy-duty rough turning and high-speed finish turning. When machining demanding materials such as cast steel and stainless steel, the lower speed range provides stable operation and high torque. For finishing aluminum alloy and cast iron components, the higher speed range helps achieve an excellent surface finish while meeting a wide variety of machining requirements.
The spindle features a diameter of Φ160 mm. Its reinforced design increases overall machine rigidity, ensuring stable performance and minimizing vibration during extended heavy-duty cutting operations.
Drive and Feed System Precision
The CNC vertical turning lathe is equipped with high-precision C3-grade ball screws (X-axis: Φ40 mm, 10 mm pitch; Z-axis: Φ50 mm, 10 mm pitch). Combined with a rigid support structure, these ball screws effectively withstand the axial forces generated during heavy-duty cutting operations, ensuring stable feed performance and machining accuracy.
The machine is driven by a servo feed system featuring a 15 Nm servo motor on the X-axis and an 18 Nm servo motor on the Z-axis, providing sufficient torque for demanding machining applications. Both axes offer rapid traverse speeds of up to 8 m/min, reducing non-cutting time during workpiece positioning and tool movement, thereby improving overall production efficiency.
Turret and External Control System
Standard equipped with a vertical 4-station turret that holds four different cutting tools simultaneously, eliminating the need for frequent tool changes during rough turning, finish turning, grooving, and chamfering operations. The machine is equipped with an RS-232 data interface and supports external USB program input, as well as batch program storage and retrieval via external devices, meeting the needs of automated programming and production management in modern manufacturing environments.
