The vertical turning lathe is a medium-sized, heavy-duty vertical turning machine featuring a reinforced design across the entire structure, guideway system, and spindle power unit. It is specifically designed for the mass production of heavy-duty disc-type parts with diameters up to 1 meter.

It is suitable for turning flanges, wind turbine hubs, wheel rims for engineering machinery, large valves, rail transit brake discs, energy pipeline flanges, and other heavy-duty disc-type components. Applicable industries include wind power equipment manufacturing, heavy machinery, commercial vehicle parts, petroleum and energy equipment, rail transportation, and large hydraulic valve processing facilities.

The CNC vertical lathe bed is made of one-piece high-strength gray cast iron. The internal structure is reinforced with ribs and undergoes high-temperature stress-relief annealing to completely eliminate internal casting stresses.
Compared with a welded steel-plate structure, cast iron provides a higher damping coefficient and stronger vibration absorption during cutting. The machine body is resistant to deformation and cracking even after long-term use.

Thickened heavy-duty spindle

The heavy-duty machine structure forms a stable vibration-resistant base, effectively absorbing cutting forces during rough turning of forged steel blanks. It is equipped with a 22 Kw high-power spindle motor, a Φ200 mm spindle diameter, and multiple sets of heavy-duty roller bearings. With a wide speed range of 50–800 rpm and high torque at low speeds, it prevents stalling and tool breakage when machining high-hardness forgings.

Wide rolling linear guideways

The X and Z axes are each equipped with two 55 mm wide rolling linear guideways. The widened dual guideways are symmetrically arranged to ensure even force distribution, making them suitable for long-term continuous heavy-duty cutting. The guideways are factory-ground with high precision and equipped with a fully automatic centralized lubrication system, reducing daily maintenance requirements.

Optional turret configuration

The turret is available in 4-station and 8-station configurations. The 4-station option is suitable for simple flange machining and helps reduce procurement costs. The 8-station option is designed for complex parts with multiple grooves and internal/external threads, enabling all turning operations in a single setup and eliminating secondary positioning errors.

A Φ1000 mm hydraulic chuck is standard, powered by an independent hydraulic station. The clamping force is continuously adjustable via the system panel. For thin-walled flanges prone to deformation, the clamping force can be reduced, while for heavy forgings it can be increased to prevent workpiece slippage during machining. The chuck supports customized soft jaws and positioning fixtures.
One CNC vertical lathe can accommodate a wide range of disc-type workpieces with different specifications, significantly improving equipment versatility.

Q2: Can you provide a machine test-cut video or on-site trial?
A: We support two types of trial services:
Online: You send us your workpiece drawings, and we will machine them on our CNC vertical lathe at the factory. A complete machining video and dimensional inspection data will be provided.
On-site: You may schedule a factory visit and bring a blank workpiece for live testing to verify repeatability and heavy-duty cutting stability.

Q3: The machine weighs 9 tons. How do you ensure it is not damaged during overseas transportation?
A: The machine is internally protected with rust-proof foam and securely fixed. In addition, we use export-standard wooden crates with a steel base for full moisture-proof and anti-rust protection during sea freight. Packing photos will be provided before shipment for customer confirmation.
