Product Introduction
Industrial CNC vertical lathe
CNC Machine Tool Manufacturer

For manufacturing companies that require long-term production of disc, ring, flange, and hub components, selecting a CNC vertical lathe involves more than considering the maximum machining diameter and spindle power. Stable workpiece positioning, reliable feed performance, and reasonable maintenance costs are equally important in day-to-day production. CNC vertical lathes use a vertical spindle configuration and are designed to handle medium- to large-sized rotary components, balancing machining space, motion accuracy, and load-bearing capacity.

CNC vertical lathe for automotive parts

As a Factory-Direct CNC Vertical Lathe, the equipment is directly manufactured and supplied by the machine tool manufacturer. The purchaser can directly communicate with the technical and production teams to adjust the equipment plan based on workpiece size, materials, machining processes, and production capacity requirements, minimizing deviations caused by intermediate links in the technical information transmission process.

When selecting a machine model, it is recommended to verify the following against the actual workpiece drawings:

Whether the maximum outer diameter and actual rotational dimensions after clamping are within 800 mm;

01

Check whether the total workpiece height and the effective machining height are within the 700 mm limit;

02

Whether multiple tool changes are required for machining the inner bore, end face, and outer diameter;

03

Whether the fixture or hydraulic chuck interferes with the effective machining area;

0 4

Whether the tool length and turret position meet the requirements of the machining path.

Product Structure Features

This CNC vertical lathe has a maximum swing diameter of Φ800 mm, a maximum machining diameter of Φ700 mm, and a machining height of 700 mm, making it suitable for rotary components with large diameters and moderate part heights. Once the workpiece is clamped on the worktable, the hydraulic clamping system provides stable and secure positioning. When machining flanges, brake discs, wheel hubs, pump body ends, and other annular components, chips can fall away more easily under gravity. During continuous turning operations that generate large volumes of metal chips, an effective chip evacuation path helps minimize chip buildup in the machining area during extended production.

CNC Vertical Lathe Spindle Speed

The spindle speed range is 100–800 rpm. The minimum spindle speed of 100 rpm is not intended for high-speed machining but is better suited to the machining requirements of large-diameter rotating parts. When the workpiece diameter is large, even at a relatively low spindle speed, the resulting cutting speed may already fall within a suitable range. Therefore, when machining large disc-shaped or ring-shaped components, the spindle system needs to balance low-speed cutting stability with stable continuous power output. The 22 kW power configuration provides adequate power for roughing, semi-finishing, and other machining operations. Actual machining performance will still depend on factors such as workpiece material, cutting tools, depth of cut, feed rate, and clamping conditions.

This model uses a 21-inch three-jaw hydraulic chuck for quick clamping of large rotating workpieces. Hydraulic clamping reduces the amount of manual operation required, eliminating the need to repeatedly clamp and release the workpiece by hand. The chuck face features three T-slots for quick installation and replacement of various tooling fixtures. For workpieces of different sizes and shapes, the appropriate jaw type and positioning method should be selected according to the actual workpiece geometry.

CNC vertical lathe turret details

We offer four-station and eight-station turret configurations. For products with relatively simple machining processes, primarily involving external diameter, end face, and internal bore machining, a four-station turret can meet the basic tooling requirements. For parts requiring multiple turning tools, boring tools, or tools of different specifications, an eight-station turret helps reduce the need for frequent tool changes and reloading. The number and types of tools, as well as the turret station layout, can be configured according to the customer's machining process.

Suitable Workpieces

CNC vertical lathe for sale

■ Wheel hubs     ■ Brake discs

■ Flanges           ■ Pump bodies

■ Valve components

■ Bearing housings

■ Gear blanks

■ Ring-shaped components

The vertical spindle configuration is particularly well suited to workpieces with large diameters and moderate heights. With a machining height of 850 mm and a maximum turning diameter of Φ700 mm, this CNC vertical lathe can handle a wide range of disc- and ring-shaped components without requiring an unnecessarily large machine structure.

Workpiece Adaptation

Based on the workpiece drawings provided by the customer, we confirm the maximum machining diameter, machining height, material properties, clamping method, and tooling requirements to determine whether the equipment specifications are suitable for the actual machining task.

01

Configuration Adjustment

Taking into account the workpiece structure, machining process, and production cycle time, we select the appropriate turret configuration, CNC system, hydraulic chuck, spindle power, and chip removal system. For batch production, the equipment configuration can also be adjusted according to automation requirements, helping avoid additional procurement costs for unnecessary functions.

02

Workpiece trial processing

If the equipment is primarily intended for a specific type of workpiece, a trial machining plan can be discussed before purchase. The equipment specifications and machining process can then be verified based on the actual machining dimensions, surface quality, and cycle time results.

03

Pre-Delivery Inspection

After assembly, the equipment undergoes checks of geometric accuracy, positioning and repeatability accuracy, spindle operation, axis movement, and continuous machine operation. Where trial cutting is required, machining performance can also be verified using actual workpieces.

04

After-Sales Technical Support

After the equipment is put into production, customers can communicate directly with the manufacturer's technical personnel regarding CNC parameter settings, tool selection and usage, machining programs, equipment operation, and routine maintenance. For equipment issues that require further attention, remote technical guidance or on-site service can be provided according to the specific situation.

From a Machine Tool to a Machining Solution

Before selecting a machine tool, please send us your workpiece.

If you do not have a physical workpiece available, you can provide the workpiece drawings, material, approximate weight, required tolerances, and expected production volume. Our technical team can review these details and help determine whether the VTC70 is suitable for your application.

If needed, we can also discuss the appropriate chuck configuration, turret arrangement, hydraulic system, CNC system, and tooling requirements.

The VTC70 is supplied as a standard CNC vertical lathe, while the final equipment configuration can be discussed and adjusted according to the customer's specific production requirements.
