The structure of vertical machining center is different from that of horizontal machining center:
The difference between vertical machining center and horizontal machining center is that the Z-axis structure is different. The Z-axis of vertical machining center moves vertically downward to complete the processing, while the Z-axis of horizontal machining center moves horizontally downward to complete the processing.
The workbench of vertical machining center is different from that of horizontal machining center:
The workbench of vertical machining center is mostly a cross slide T-slot workbench structure, with two sets of vertical motion mechanisms responsible for the direction of motion, and the X-direction feed table cover is responsible for the Y-direction feed guide rail. The workbench and horizontal machining center are only designed for X-direction or Y-direction movement. The workbench form is generally a grid screw hole table rotary workbench, which is relatively easy to choose to switch double workbench.
Choose vertical machining center or horizontal machining center:
The two machines have different requirements for processing parts. Due to the height limit of the column and tool changer, the vertical machining center cannot process parts that are too high. The volume of the workpiece is relatively small. To realize the lateral processing of the workpiece, a corner head or a CNC turntable must be installed. In addition to completing the processing of the remaining four sides of the mounting surface and the top surface, horizontal clamping is suitable for the processing of box-type parts.
