Horizontal machining centers, also known as horizontal milling centers, are a machining process that relies on a rotating tool to remove metal from a workpiece. Horizontal machining occurs on a horizontal machining center (HMC) with its spindle parallel to the ground. With a horizontal spindle, the tool extends from the side of the tool holder and cuts across the side of the workpiece, causing the chips to fall off the table. Features of HMC series horizontal machining centers
The bed, column, workbench, spindle box and other large parts of the horizontal machining center are made of phenolic sand molding, high-strength cast iron, good rigidity and stable precision.
The AC servo motor of the horizontal machining center is directly connected to the ball screw pair through a coupling, so that the X, Y and Z axes can move quickly.
The X, Y and Z axes of the horizontal machining center use high-precision linear rolling guide pairs, and the mounting surface is manually scraped.
The high-precision ball screw of the horizontal machining center is pre-tightened on the side to eliminate the precision loss caused by thermal expansion.
The spindle of the horizontal machining center adopts two-point support; the front and rear bearings are both high-precision angular contact ball bearings.
The spindle of the horizontal machining center has good rigidity and high rotation accuracy; the spindle bearings are cooled by constant temperature box cooling oil to ensure reliability during high-speed operation.
The spindle box of the horizontal machining center is directly driven by an AC servo motor with a brake, and has high positioning accuracy.
The rotary table of the horizontal machining center is driven by an AC servo motor with a hydraulic brake.
The feedback servo system of the X, Y, Z, and B axes of the horizontal machining center adopts semi-closed control of the motor encoder.
The spindle motor of the horizontal machining center is connected to the spindle through a synchronous belt after the gearbox reducer. It has high torque at low speed and high power at high speed.
