CNC vertical lathe is an efficient and precise processing tool, which is indispensable especially in large-scale processing. However, to correctly perform CNC vertical lathe processing operations and obtain good processing results, the key is to correctly adjust the CNC vertical lathe. The following are the correct adjustment steps:
1. Choose the appropriate fixture. When choosing a fixture, you must first consider the purpose, and then consider factors such as material and accuracy. When installing the fixture, make sure that the plane of the fixture exactly matches the plane of the machine tool to avoid deviations in workpiece processing caused by the fixture being not parallel to the plane of the machine tool.
2. Adjust the mechanical device. When using a CNC vertical lathe for processing, the mechanical device also needs to be adjusted. Specifically, during the operation of the CNC vertical lathe, it is necessary to increase or decrease the frame distance, select the appropriate template according to the processing form, etc. If the mechanical device is not adjusted properly, it will cause problems in the workpiece after processing. For example, the processed workpiece is uneven or irregular, which cannot meet product quality standards, affecting production efficiency and increasing production costs.
Third, adjust the feed speed. During processing, the feed speed needs to be adjusted. Excessive speed will cause equipment jitter and instability. On the contrary, if the speed is too slow, the processing speed will slow down and the processing efficiency will be affected. At the same time, depending on the workpiece material and processing depth, the feed speed also needs to be adjusted accordingly to ensure processing quality and efficiency.
Fourth, adjust the tool. Tools are an indispensable part of CNC vertical lathe operations. The choice of tool has a lot to do with the cutting conditions during the machining process. When adjusting the tool, the most suitable tool should be selected based on the material and cutting parameters being processed. Tools must be kept sharp and clean to avoid excessive cutting forces or excessive cutting temperatures.
5. Calibrate the workpiece coordinates. During the machining process, the workpiece coordinates will change due to various reasons, so calibration is required to ensure machining accuracy. For multi-axis controlled CNC machine tools, corresponding multi-axis calibration is also required.
Only by correctly adjusting the CNC vertical lathe can we ensure that the processed workpieces meet product requirements, thereby improving processing efficiency and quality per unit time, reducing costs, and further increasing profits from process optimization.
