Heavy duty vertical turning machine

This heavy-duty CNC vertical turning lathe is a high-precision machine specifically designed for machining large, heavy workpieces such as discs, flanges, wheel hubs, valves, and wind power components. It features a one-piece heavy-duty bed and an enclosed double-column structure, providing excellent vibration damping and structural rigidity. Capable of performing roughing, semi-finishing, and finishing operations on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, it is widely used in industries such as wind power, construction machinery, mining equipment, oil and gas, pressure vessels, and automotive component manufacturing.

We specialize in manufacturing vertical lathes, CNC vertical lathes, and double-column CNC vertical lathes. Customized machine design and manufacturing services are available to meet specific customer requirements. Optional features include protective guarding, hydraulic chucks, mechanical drive systems, and other custom configurations. We welcome both new and existing customers to visit our facility and conduct machine inspections and test machining.

Performance Characteristics

Dual-column structure

This heavy-duty vertical turning machine features a double-column structure with two columns, two saddles, and two slides mounted on the base. The double-column configuration enables roughing, semi-finishing, and finishing operations to be completed in a single workpiece setup, improving machining efficiency and accuracy.

Spindle pulley

The spindle pulley is belt-driven by the main servo motor and is powered by an 18.5 kW dual-speed servo motor. This configuration provides the spindle speed range required for both roughing and finishing operations. A high-capacity motor is used to withstand the heavy loads generated during heavy-duty and interrupted cutting, reducing stress on the motor, workpiece, and machine structure.

Turret Combination

To meet different machining requirements, the machine can be equipped with dual horizontal CNC turrets or a single horizontal turret with either a single-row or double-row tool arrangement. The horizontal turret design enables rapid tool changes, significantly improving machining efficiency.

Hydraulic chuck

According to customer requirements, the spindle can be fitted with either a rotary table or a hydraulic chuck. A single rotary hydraulic cylinder mounted beneath the spindle actuates the workholding fixture or hydraulic chuck, reducing operator effort while ensuring secure workpiece clamping.
